Whether in design, society, or technology, interesting topics often only become apparent once you look beyond the surface and delve deeper into something. The title of the course related to this thematic concepts, but also interesting intersections on the transition between 2D and 3D animation techniques.
The final presentation of the results was embedded into the three day program of the MEDIA ART LAB that I co-initiated at temporary stage »Open Space Domshof« in Bremen. The students could utilize the stage to gain practice to present their process and concepts in public space. The resulting animations were shown on an outdoor cinema screen and for another two month on the LED wall of »Open Space« in the city center of Bremen.
My »project« part of the course was accompanied by a »workshop« part conducted by Nicolas Kawohl and generally supported by Prof. Maiken Laackmann.
